Paper Veils introduced a new body of work in which Damien Hirst translated the painterly intensity of his Veil Paintings into intimate, hand-painted compositions on Japanese paper. The project marked a shift toward a more tactile, directly handmade mode within his wider practice.

It was also the inaugural release on HENI Primary, a new platform enabling collectors to acquire original artworks directly from the artist, a significant strategic departure from the traditional gallery system and a major moment for both Hirst and HENI.
