Brian Clarke / Fondation Beyeler / Serpentine

THE BRIEF

Collages presented a key body of work by Sir Brian Clarke, internationally recognised as the world’s leading stained-glass artist. Clarke’s collage practice, rooted in the cut-paper studies he began as a teenager, forms the conceptual foundation for much of his stained-glass innovation. The project coincided with A Great Light at Newport Street Gallery, a major exhibition surveying Clarke’s seven-decade career, where his collage language reappeared across stained-glass works and monumental installations.

Delivered as both HENI Editions and HENI Primary, the project reintroduced Clarke’s collage practice to a new generation of collectors and aligned it with one of the most significant exhibitions of his late career.
